found a nice veccy 2.2 elagance yesterday, up at 2995.00, they offered me 415.00  :-/ yesterday for the mig, i said i would consider it, yeah rite...... so they phoned this morning and true to my persona i thought lets see how far i can push them, we went down to re-vue the car, the salesman let us test drive, apart from a few niggles all was well, we all sat down, he said is the offer acceptable, i said no, get your calculater out!!.
he then offered me 500.00 for the mig, i said no, i said what would you knock off for cash with out trade in, £200 he said, i said i would give him 2500.00 for the car, he went away and had a word with the boss, ame back and said they would give me 600.00 for the mig, i said no i wanted to pay 2500 for the car now,he ummed n arred, said he couldnt do it, so i said we would go n think about it as we had a ficticious car to vue, a vecy deisle, with that he lloked quite paniky. we got up n walked out.
tea time today got a phone call from the head sales man, he asked if we had bought the ficticious veccy, i said we were considering it, he said he could do the car for 2500.00 with out any warrenty, (i thought we are getting nearer to a deal that suits ME) no i want the warrentee i said, then i hit him with it, i said i would pay the screen price but  i will accept 700.00 for the mig on trade, i want the petrol filling up, new MOT, the niggles sorting out, and i want to keep the 2 months tax thats o the veccy and want to remove the 9 months tax from the mig, also i will remove the stereo system from the mig, i could hear him groaning on the phone , he said he would need to see the m.d. and would get back to me, when he phoned me back ten mins later i let the answer phone get it. he said we had a deal if i put the deposit down of 500.00
 
i thought thats the way to do it, after i cash in the tax n sell the stereo that will giv ;De me a total of 900.00 for the mig, i only paid 910.00 for it 15 months ago. heres the cruncher, the wifes unsure weather she likes the veccy now :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ bugger me, its worse than giving birth

Hmmm.........Something I might be doing next week, got to decide if I really want the car first below the haggling begins.
Going away this weekend so after that might just go have another look see (more seriously), if it's still there at a 5 series BMW tourer It's up for £2995, too much me thinks straight away but maybe haggling techniques like you will get that price down.

On my first visit he already agreed with me that this type of car isn't selling at present........1-0 to me already.

Mind you I paid £4500 for mine over 3 years ago, and I had to fight off another buyer.
