I still use Sainsbury's ones for that as they do not split, reflecting the quality of Sainsbury's!! 8-) 8-) ;)

Before anyone asks though I do have a good  supply of re-usable shopping bags of my own, of course purchased from Sainsbury's, and only use the free ones when I need bin-liners! :D :D :D ;)

Load of rubbish mate, I work for Tesco and they do NOT charge for bags.  They just keep them under the tills to try and encourage people to bring their own.  Ask for some bags and they will give you some.

Make your next visit at a peak time, unload a trolley full of shopping onto the checkout conveyor belt and if they don't supply free bags (Plastic,paper..whatever) just walk out and leave them there.

Only draw back would be if you don't need the trolley load of shopping...and they do offer you free bags.  ::)

Mrs. always drags me along to sainsburys, at least it's not Tesco or Asda. Do the best quality food I find in sainsburys too.

Why the witch hunt on bags >:( FFS carrrier bags represent .0003% of all land fill, and when you take into consideration like Mark most people find a secondary use for them whats the problem? :-/ Me thinks it's a mindset that the big supermarkets wan't us to subscribe to, to increase there profits!
