FINALLY fitted my exhaust today - the eternal system fitted like a charm, the only problem I had was trying to drill out the inevitable broken bolts (thankfully only 2 of the 4).

But, the potential problems with it fitting just did not happen - it fitted like a glove!

I will say that this is not a job that I'd want to repeat on axle stands - it was a pain in the arse trying to drill out a bolt with my nose about 2 inches from the bottom of the car.

So another job done... very few left!

Far safer with a pair of ramps, but a job well done :y :y

I've also modified mine- all mufflers & cat removed & a nice stainless twin tail muffler to finish off with. Makes her alot more responsive at the lower revs, she has more power & she has a slight growl now too 8-)

Got to get mine replaced at some point..... trouble is it's right at the end of the list, although the list is getting shorter I suppose.

What's the quality like JJ, both in build and sound.  I replaced my original with a bosal system last year and have to say that I'm dissapointed on both counts. :(

I'm inclined to junk the Bosal system even though there's less than 2k on it and would feel happier if I thought the Eternal system was any good :y

The Eternal system was cheap as chips - £120 all in, delivered, for a catback system (i'm assuming I'm using the right term here, I had the two pipes with silencers and the rear box). Delivery took a while - just over a week - and was delivered to work in the largest box I have ever seen. It took half an hour just to get rid of all the excess packaging!

The pipes fitted like a glove - no adjustment required at all - and the rear pipe sits just within the line of the rear bumper, though it does look a bit plain as just an angle cut piece of pipe.

It took me a day and a half to fit it overall, but at least a day of that was taken up with the section that bolts to the cat pipes - two of the four bolts snapped, then I had to drill them out, and replace them with an oddball combination of M6 bolts and washers to clamp it all back together (turns out i'd made a hideous mess of the hole when trying to drill out the bolt!).

Anyway, the rest of the system fitted easily and quickly, with a minimum of fuss.

Noisewise - It's not noisy, burbles a bit on idle, but I have nothing really to compare it with - the original exhaust, despite passing the MOT, had several very large holes in it and was blowing all over the place. It certainly doesn't make any more noise than I'm comfortable with.

Overall, I'm very happy with it. For the price, it's a good deal.

Nice one JJ - I might as well try it as there's no point living with something that keeps niggleing at you every time it's used. (the exaust that is) :y :y
