that was fast...
« on: 18 August 2009, 14:43:06 »

Applied for a job on Friday, tounge and cheek really looked interesting so just spammed my CV over to them.

Got a call on Monday from the Recuritment Agency, saying we like your CV, we are putting it forward for interview. Call today, the employer really really liked my CV and want me to interview tomorrow  :o

Pay is good, but, my team leader is leaving, and they are not going to give me his title... even though i will get his responsibilties, and no pay rise.

Plus we are migrating to a new american platform which is shite, and is seriously going to cripple the company.

Plus i can't turn down the wage this job is offering!

Well lifes too short to miss opportunities in life, and if this new one looks better, and you think your old one will fold, best jumping the soon to be sinking ship.

With the job market as it is today, your lucky to have a crack at it.

Good luck.

thats the current market I'm afraid.  At least, generally, smaller companies do tend to treat their staff better than larger ones when the going gets tough ime

Sadly since we are American owned now, thats not really the case anymore.

The US chose to sack 50% of our development team, even though they project they were building was not finished.

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!
