 then went to "the baras" market in Glasgow today and found a set of tannoy floorstanding speakers for a tenner. http://www.hyperfi.co.uk/default.aspx?CategoryID=405&ItemID=Tannoy_Revolution_R2_B_Stock

Bargain :y

A few years ago I bought a pair of hardly used Mordaunt-Short vs300's from my mate for £30.
Also bought a Phillips surround sound system off the same guy. Again, immaculate condition. Still had the box, manual etc, even the speaker wires were secured with the original ties.
He really looks after his gear and it appears that if he gets £30 for something he's selling 2nd hand, he's happy. Irrelevant of what he paid for it.
Now then, I've noticed he's not using his immaculate ZZR600 much...Hmm  ::)
