i agree fully with everyone else that the people doing this should have there lives ended

kw untill you have been in my shoes i sugest you be quiet >:( >:( >:( >:(
You're right Nick, I ain't been in your shoes.

My old lady was sexually abused by an uncle from the age of 9 though, and 4 years ago my (then) 10 year old (mentally disabled) son was physically assualted by a 14st male in a park.

Now I know that what happened to my old lady when she was a kid doesn't really affect me....and I also know that a physical assualt is different from a sexual assault.......but do you reckon I may be just slightly qualified to know what you are saying?

Don't for one minute think I'm sticking up for these sort of people, but topping them don't solve the problem.

I ddi that in the beginning 4 years ago, didn't take me long to work out I might as well be talking to a brick wall though.
After that dawned on me, I looked at other options.

Which is where we have gone so badly wrong,we have gone from the extreme of hanging people on flimsy evidence to the other extreme of being so concerned with the rights of the guilty that at times the victims recieve no justice or help.
Im not a believer in the death penalty myself, but I do believe that serious offenders who cause harm to others be it paedos/murderers/rapists/seriously violent offenders should be removed from society permanently. It would restore that sense of justice to victims, make the country a safer place and act as a detterent to would be offenders.
There is a place in the system for rehabilitation of not so serious offenders, but it shouldnt be as important as protecting society from the offenders. It often seems these days that the rehab element takes precedence over the protection of the innocent element, and it also seems that the rehab methods arent working.

If that "permanently" means keeping them under lock/key/supervision (until such time as a DEFINATE cure is found), then I'm 100% with you.

If by "remove them" you mean forthwith, then no mate.

We cant build enough prisons to house them all ,but I wasnt joking about using islands off the coast. It seems like a perfect solution to me - one for paedos, one for murderers etc. drop a food parcel once a week, other than that, leave them to it.

Nick .. someone must have given you a reason for not procceeding ?? If not ask, at a senior level, for one. Was the  accusation investigated  ??

At the end of the day it is not the police who decide to prosecute, but the CPS, and I believe you can ask them for their reasons as well ... (I'll check this for you when I see the CPS manager next)

I see 4 -5 cases a week of both recent and historical abuse proceding through the courts, and the conviction rate is higher than you might think.

There are cover ups as well, if someone is caught dealing in that sort of porn, to prevent embarassing the company the Police don't get involved, just the person sacked.

I know of two cases of CP, one as above the other involved a court case.

Clarification - neither case anything to do with our company - or our customers, one was info. from someone at the company, the other we were asked to check a computer before Police were called.

Simply put them all on one of those remote little islands miles from the Scottish coast and leave them all there together,no parole etc they stay there until they breath their last.
That way the innocents are protected and we dont have the do- gooders screaming from the rooftops that we are a society of Barbarians. ;)

Hey!
Keep the beasts out of Scotland!
Send them to Iraq!

Holy break Nick! I'm really sorry to hear about that.  :'( :'( My suggestion if you want revenge is to give the b@stard some of his own medicine. Stick a BIG, RUSTY iron bar up his arse and maybe he would understand
