Well I got the demo.

Hung the 1st time I tried it.

Was jerky the second time round,  could hear the engine reving in stutterd stages, so wether I am lacking ram (Can only get this mobo working on 2 x odd 512 DDR2) or the graphics card onlybeing a 256MB GT6600.  The performance was the worst I have ever played on this machine.

Turned all setting to lowest, also I have an aftermarket creative sound card as the on board sound was not up to it in other games.  So am still disapointed perfomance wise.

The lead in demo is very fast and smooth, so when I build my other machine back together aas the parts are scattered all over at the mo, if the demo plays ok they may consider buying the games.

Other PC, will have 4 GB DDR2, maybe even DDR3, and has a quad core and 8800GTX card for it.

Thats a shame, but with that hardware i'm not suprised it didn't run right. I'd say minimum you'd need a 8800GTX. Ram wise 2 or 4 i don't think will make much difference but if you can get some 1066mhz stuff that will help, it turned my machine into a beast when I upgraded from 800mhz.

I'm not surprised the quality is shit when trying to play a new game on hardware that is 5 years old plus, and that same hardware was only considered "middle of the road" when it was first released.

When you do get your new PC together, I can tell you for fact that you won't benefit from anything more than 3.25GB of RAM, or anything more than dual core unless you move over to a 64bit OS.

However, once you have that 64bit OS, you'll also need the 64bit applications/games to reap the full benefit (and by then, there will be another console that is already wiping the floor with the PC where games are concerned).
