they sat in the side roads last night by a few of the more popular drinking spots, and the result was nearly everyone who got into a car from 1 club and almost the same at the pub on the canal.

There's no excuse for it now mate, it's an absolute no-no to even think of driving with drink inside you, or anything else that impairs your reactions for that matter.  :(

I once got pulled on New Years Morning (5:30am) to be breth tested.  Asked if I had been drinking,  ::) said that I had.  Asked how many.   ::) 10/12 pints since 6 Pm last I replied, would you like me to get out of the car.   Oh no Sir, you just sit there and blow in the tube/bag.

Just as he read me my rights he saw the results was 100% clear  :)

When he found out I had been drinking coka cola he just smiled and let me go.

Daft thing is they both smelt of whiskey and I dare not think what would have happened if they had been breath tested. >:(

That was about 27/28 years ago.  about 3/4 years later I was drinking a bottle od spirts a night to help get to sleep after work, did that for nearly 2 years and just gave it up as it didnt really help get me off to sleep, just been a very rare, but social drinker since.  Dont need the booze to have a good time. ::)
