Lets hope they repair it. Hopefully the garage will only charge what the car is worth. Which probably ain't very much so that might not work, but lets hope they repair it anyway. :y

my dad is a assessor and as soon as they recieve autorisation they can carry out the rapairs that means all the work been agreed.

Well that is the strange thing.  The garage refused to pick up my car on Monday as they had "not received authorization" from Royal Sun Alliance, although they had requested the garage to collect!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

Then, after I chased both the AA and RSA, speaking to the latter direct, they stated "authority to repair" had been given!  This was confirmed in those words by the previously reluctant garage when they booked with me a collection time, which was this morning.

So what happens next is anyone's guess!

same colour as my Omega that Lizzie  :)

I am sorry to say though, that damage looks terminal. Lets face it most Omegas are worth less than 2k, and X/W plates even less  :'(

I fear the cost of that repair may class it as a write off  :'( :'(

That's what I fear Tunnie, but the garage have informed me that they have "received authorisation to repair"!!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

So I am keeping everything crossed!! ;) ;)

Blimey  :o

When i backed my Omega into a Passat at 10 mph i had zero damage to mine  8-)

But!

On the Passat i took out a light, bumper and wing. The repair bill was over £2.5k  :o

Our Miggies are certainly strong cars Tunnie, and in fact the police who witnessed the accident said that when my car was stationery to let their car out of the junction on a trebble 9 call, they saw the chaps Ford Fiesta fail to stop until he hit my rear wing and then his car "bounced" off it backwards!!  I reckon he was still doing 30 mph when he hit my rear >:( >:( >:(

I had an early 90's civic run into the back of me a while back at about 10-15 mph, completly trashed and written off, and the omega, nothing, not even a scratch  ::)

Lizzie, tell them you have no hurry to take the miggy back ;D

seriously sad to see that..

but repairable..

and check the car thoroughly, before you accept it..(ie rear tire geometry, paint matching , abnormal noises etc)
