Made my self a night vision monocular today

& it works :) :) :) :) :)

I made up a rough test subject out of various parts i have in my emporium.
Now i shall be constructing another one made from better materials :) :)
I need to source some ali tube & then the rest should be an easy task :y
I used a 35mm lense & flange from an old OM10 so i can use all manner of zoom lenses 8-) 8-)
I shall be out down the fields tonight trying out my new toy :y :y :y

My mate has got a set like those in silence of the lambs, dint realise how good they till he let me have a go.

Has offered to lend me them for a while, see what I can find one might as 20 yrads from my front door I can see over a valley and accross the country side and there is a farm behind me so plenty of chance to see the night time wild life.

Dunno really, best activity I reckon I will see will be an owl.  There is a village at the bottom so the best thing there would be the pub turf out at closing time.

Am waiting for all the leaves to fall off the tree's be I go and have a look though.

Not much with a flat battery ;D

There will be very little light to get any gain, no stars or moon due to cloud & i don't have any IR (yet)
