Water Based Paints...?
« on: 13 October 2009, 15:19:46 »

I am told all new cars now are sprayed with 'water based paints' (presumably all to do with toxic waste /saving the planet etc etc).
So Vauxhall new car sales seem to be promoting the use of this stuff...

Anyone know if its any good and worth the £299 that is being asked ?

I was just thinking how many bottles of Auto Glym i could buy with £299.00.
Plus you'll have to top it up as you do with any polish.
I personally wouldn't bother.

Its little more than a good wax coat (all be it synthetic!) (the autoglym one is about the best out there actualy)

A nice little earner for the garages who now charge to do a full paint prep that they would have done as standard a few years ago.
