it really is depressing going to work on the tube. its like being in an overcrowded library. nobody speaks most of the time.when you do everyone stares at you. the occasional glance up some tarts skirt when she uncrosses her legs  soon brightens the journey  :) :) :)
Now you'll understand why we are outta the UK as soon as the youngest turns 16 (5 years away).

ive told both of mine to do well at college and go abroad. if i never had kids i would of took the chance when i was offered it.

Chap needs to have his blood-glucose levels checked :y :y
He doesn't need anything checked, he is simply the end product of what we are creating.

but there is no excuse for rudness and arrogancy which is not acceptable in my opinion
Absolutely Rich.

However we have to assume the guy in the video has a previously unblemished record, and if that is the case then he has simply "snapped" from god knows how many weeks of crap from the thoughtless others you mention.

I read about this ages ago in the Evening Standard,  if true, this is far from the first time, the geezer is a menace, the replies to the article the next day was full of people saying they had stopped using Holborn because of this bloke!

i drive a tube train we have 28 seconds from wheel stop to wheel start

If the door closed and the trains started after 28 seconds regardless of who was half-in people would be more considerate.

I love travelling on trains, including those on the London tube system, and when I was regularly commuting I loved some of the things you saw and heard!  Free entertainment! 8-) 8-) 8-) :D

However, on a serious note I can well understand how anyone, passenger or staff, can 'snap' down there.  The atmosphere can be very tense, hot, and airless, which must place incrediable pressure on those who are treading a fine line between calm sanity and pure raging insanity.  I have had my moments myself with some very ignorant souls!! :( :(

The Tube is a play of all human life, day in day out, 365 days a year!  Travel it long enough and you will see it all! 8-) 8-) 8-) ;D ;D ;)

Maybe with Steam train up front, but its no fun on modern ones 20 years old.

My car is:

1) Faster than a train, i don't have to pay to park the car, buy a train & tube ticket
2) more comfy
3) adjustable climate control
4) I don't have to sit next to the fat bloke you just went the gym
        a)  someone who just got a MaccyD's
        b) someone who just smoked 20 fags
        c) got their headphones so loud the whole carridge can here

Peace and quiet with the cruise control set at 85mph 70mph with the new Dan Brown audio book

I fully understand what you mean Tunnie. :y :y

However Southeast trains between Ashford and London are only 3 years old at most and superbly comfortable, giving a very smooth, quiet and air conditioned ride.

When I regularly commuted to London, and for cost reasons decided to use the car between Ashford and the Old Kent Road, I remember all those times when I was stuck in sweltering traffic, achieving the first three miles in 1.5 hours, and getting home three hours after leaving work >:( >:( >:(

By train the journey took all in 1.5 hours, even in the old slam door stock of those days! ;D ;D

Your car may well be faster than the train, but 24 valve, fuel injection, turbo nutter bastard doesn't mean shit in traffic  ;)

Settle for 30 year old 2 x 48 valve turbo intercooled on a long run, very comfy and pretty fast.
