Council Tax. Unlawful ??
« on: 01 November 2009, 20:11:34 »

Just found this http://www.nocounciltax.com/?p=71

It relates to this http://www.tpuc.org/node/257

Is it possible, could it work?
Could there be any after effects?

If nothing else, a good read  :y :y

Interesting read -- probably crap --- but, you never know. Let's see if it catches on !!!

Edit :  Forgot to refer to the aftter effects question:  If it was an accurate interpretation of the law as it stands and no-one has to pay council tax the effect will be that all of our local authorities will go bust and we will have no services to enjoy or complain about.

If half of the population cotton on to this the other half will be paying double.

I guess the alternative is to have every Local Authority provided service paid for at the point of use. Imagine haggling with the Chief Fire Officer as your house burns  :o

You pays yer money ( or not, as the case might be) and you takes yer choice !

Yes, very interesting read, could open a lot of floodgates. What about all those that have gone to prison for not paying? I've just posted the link on my "f-book" page, see what response it gets!  :y
