Humbling experience.
« on: 08 December 2009, 13:06:11 »

I was joining the M1 this morning, at jcn 37, Barnsley. It's a steep climb up the slip road and when you join the motorway, you are on the brow of a hill, so easy to get up to a good lick very quickly.
As i was coming up the slip road, a renault van was right up my arse, waiting to overtake my poxy meriva as soon as we hit the motorway. Cheeky bugger, I thought, I'll show him. The motorway was quiet so as soon as I joined I pulled across to the third lane and booted it. Up to 80 in no time.....he's still up my bum, 90...still there,95......still there. Just touched a ton and he's still rather there!
Now my meriva is quite capable of going faster than that, but it has a small footprint and is quite high, so even with a slight crosswind, it tends to put the sh!ts right up you ;D

SO!........I chickened out and pulled in, slowed to about 85 and he flew past me with a smirk on his ugly face.

That's me told :(

 ;D ;D
