LOL -- I really feel for you, Bertie.  In my guarding days one of my duties, on a VERY cold February night, was to guard a gas main supply relief valve (Lord knows why, it was the middle of nowhere). I was sat next to this thing, in a borrowed cash-in-transit waggon, wearing two layers of thermals, in a sleeping bag and runnig the engine for 20 minutes every hour to keep warm alive!

Anyways, at about 2 in the morning, there's an almighty "whoosh" and gas everywhere!!!  I had to abandon the waggon (was told in no uncertain terms not to start it) and sit a few 100 yards away, waiting for the gas fitters to turn out.

I would have happily blown the lot up, just to get some warmth !!!!!!!

Happy days  ::)
