Fuel Price History
« on: 06 January 2010, 10:33:12 »

I started driving in 1978 with a viva HA van, then over the years progressed on to bigger and faster cars, the biggest engines being 2  4.2 Jag and Daimler and 2 5.7 litre chevy powered cars.

So it go me wondering what the price of petrol was through all my years of driving.  I found a site with a good chart about 2 years ago, but am struggling to find at the moment.

When I had my Pontiac that had a 25 gallon tank on it, and the guy that I bought if off moved on to a Chrysler Le Baron with an 8,2 litre lump in it that had starting problems when hot.  He tried filling the 40 gallon tank up from emty with the engine running one day and ended up putting 42 gallons init before he gave up.
