Got a question mate. When we did your cambelt at Brackley.. we noticed cam no4 was 1 tooth too advanced.

Since we corrected that, have you noticed any improvements, in

A) power/torque (if so, where)
b) Fuel consumption? If so, how significant?

Just asking so I can try and guess how much better project Elite will drive with it's timing spot on, compared to a tooth out on all cams!!

Hiya James,

Power is definitely better from about 3.8k onwards, the pick up is a lot stronger and smoother.

As for fuel consumption, I'm afraid I can't comment - that trip to Brackley was the first time I'd actually driven it anywhere, as I knew the cambelt needed doing I didn't want to risk it!  I can tell you that now on motorway runs I get between 35 and 38 ish) around town etc, still quite low between 15-20 I guess.
