Some Mate
« on: 08 February 2010, 18:49:00 »

Since Aug/Sep last year my mate has been promising to remove a scrap car i've stripped on my drive for parts.
All that's left now is the shell & running gear. I just want it gone so i can have all my drive back.
I managed to speak to him on fri & he promised he'd be here this morning at 07:00 so i was up at six, rang him at 06:10 & he said he'll be over later today. I waited in ALL DAY & he hasn't shown, all this despite my phone calls every hour since just after 10:00 this morning.
I've known him for over twenty years & i've put alot of work his way & many hundreds of pounds.
I don't think this freindship will last much longer & it's more of a loss for him than me.
If i could shift the car my self, i would, but it need's to be lifted & it cannot be towed.
I'm well & truely dekcuf off with all this now & i think i've been well & truely dessip around.

If it can be dragged on to the roadside put it there and inform the police(make sure it has got a rgistration plate on it identifying your 'mate' as the previous owner) I am sure it would be removed rather quickly! :y

Get it weighed in yourself Pete, or as richie says, get someone from the local rag and they will give you cash for it.

I've just been a walk down the fields & cooled off.

The thing is that he won't charge me for the transport & what i make is mine, now if i ring someone up & ask them to take it away, they'll give me less than fifty quid.
It's a Rover 800 Coupe & so there's around a metric tonne in weight. I don't have much to live on the moment & this will be a help :y
I managed to speak to him after my OP, he contracts for the Police/Council & he's had some RTA's to fetch in today. I said "you could've rang me".
See what tomorrow brings ::)

Dunno if I misread it, but I don't think it's the mates car.  :-/
