Bleeding.
« on: 15 February 2010, 23:16:06 »

Noticed a some blood in the dressing whilst strip washing yesterday (still can't shower >:() It was evident that it'd stopped & stayed within the dressing so must have happened overnight. I ignored it as due to see the nurse again today. She cleaned everything up slung a new dressing on & all seems ok. Previous swab test came back with no infection. She said i was nearly all healed up & the bleed was only from one tiny bit. I've got to go back to the hospital to see the surgeon on Wed. Was hoping to go back to work on Thursday but i won't now.
Monday...maybe??? I'm in no pain so getting sick of all this now. ::)

Better to take it very steady and be bored for a week .. than to rush back, have problems, and be off for 2-3 weeks :(

Feeling fine and not being allowed to do things is a "pain" ... but it is far worse to have real pain 'cos you've damaged something !!!

Relax and enjoy .... as the docs kept telling me ....  :(

Don't rush back Guy... Doing what you do it's best to take it easy until you are properly healed :y :y

Sorry. Just realized i'm wallowing in self pity. Given some of the much more serious ailments/conditions some members have to put up with or worse (Willyboy) in hindsight i should think myself lucky, just a bit of wear & tear.
Not used to being ill so it's a shock to the system. I'll shut up & be grateful i'm on the mend.

My Nurse is due on Wednesday  ::)

Dont rush back to work Guy, it just isnt worth it.  A week too early could cost you more time off work.

Will PM a nursey picture.   ::)
