At the end of the day, the police must be free and willing to profile...otherwise all our freedoms will be lost.

It's a bit like the situation at airports where 88-year old grannies are frisked for concealed dangerous objects. They don't do it in Israel, so why do it here?

The police are becoming very OTT in their behaviour, IMHO. That can only lead to a distrust of the Force - the ramifications of which are not good. Not good at all. :(
