Was expecting/hoping it would be next week for some reason, sure it has been earlier than this before. :-/

Cheers Steve, I stand corrected.

I just focused on it allways being Austrilia on the 1st race, looks like that has been moved back and Bakrain has taken it's place.

Thats ok then, actually looking forward to seeing what that track is like. :y

I've just been on to them and had the same old discussion about having to put my PIN in to watch movies. Apparently, it's got to be done before 2100 to stop the kiddies watching stuff they shouldn't.

What if I haven't got any kids?

Ermmmm.......ermmmmm.....You have to put your PIN in before 2100 sir.

Why?

Ermmmm.....ermmmmm......in case young ones watch things they're not supposed to.

What if I haven't got any kids?

Ermmmmm.....(panic) ;D

FFS, the parents should be controlling access, not Sky.  Mind you, looking at a lot of the parents today......

You should have all those on your server by now and be able to repeat them at your leisure surely?

Or are you asking for more channels?  :-/

I enjoy a Sunday afternoon crap film, whilst waiting for my roast to go down :)

Certainly a damn sight more interesting than watching a parade of ugly cars...  ...now if any racing took place ;)

But you have a morbid fascination with it.  There are plenty of alternatives clearly labelled as "choice".  ::)

Proper motorsport - eg BTCC - doesn't get the same coverage :(

On the upside to F1, shithead schu is back. Last time I saw him, he wasn't shy about racing (fairly or otherwise), unlike all the current crop of gay poofters.  Hopefully that should spice things up :y

The downside is that Murray Walker (particulalry when teamed with Brundle) added an extra layer of excitement, long since gone since he retired - his obvious passion for it made it more interesting.

The biggest downside is Silverstone has it, which means I have to become a hermit for nearly a week, constantly disturbed by toffs and their bloody choppers disturbing my peace.  All the bloody roads a closed, doubles my (already 1hr) commute, particularly from Wed onwards.

I sympathise with the aerial nuisance bit but presumably Silverstone was there when you elected to sojourn there?  I have a mate who recently (ish) moved to Syresham and you can hear the cars from there so I suspect he may share your discomfort, though he hasn't mentioned it.

As for BTCC (the paint-swapping championship).  ITV4 did good coverage last year I thought, and the website suggests even better this year...

Welcome to the TV Timetable section of btcc.net

2010 will mark the third year in a multi-year arrangement that the BTCC has in place with the ITV network. Never before has coverage been as comprehensive.

As in 2008 and 2009, all ten race events will receive extensive live coverage on Sunday afternoons on the ITV4 channel. This includes all three nail-biting BTCC races on the day plus much of the action from the supporting championships.

Each fixture then receives an additional 90-minutes highlights programme - dedicated to the three BTCC races - that is repeated several times on both ITV1 and ITV4 during the following week.

That's why in 2009 the ITV network's coverage of the BTCC season totalled a staggering 116 hours-plus watched by close to 14 million viewers.

See the panel left to keep fully up-to-date with broadcast times as the 2010 season progresses.

ITV4 also live-streams its Sunday afternoon coverage of BTCC race events on the itv.com website. The same site then also makes full coverage of each race available to view again via its ITV Player on a specially-dedicated BTCC page.

Silverstone was indeed here. The new A43 was in planning. Silly me, I assumed once A43 was built, they wouldn't close it to through traffic on race weekend. Sods!

Actually, when I moved here, racing still formed part of F1, so it was worthwhile dragging a telly outside, light up bbq, get friends round ;)

The lesser ITV channels make a reasonable job of BTCC, but nothing like the in depth BBC1 coverage of the parade of ugly cars.
