Finally got around to replacing the pads on SWMBO's Corsa yesterday. As recommended on here, I bought the pukka Vx set which included new runners and bolts. The only problem was that the bolts were unlike the caliper bolts I removed . In fact there was no sign of any bolts of a similar size anywhere. My neighbour had done his daughter's Corsa pads the day before and said he had the same in his replacemnet kit. The picture shows the new bolt and the caliper bolt removed from the car. Can anyone shed any light on why they apparently supply the "wrong" bolt?

Which bolt did you remvoe.....the caliper assembly to hub bolt or caliper slide to caliper bracket......it looks like you did the former

Yes, the former. Thought that was the only way. (OK, my neighbour told me that it was the right way to do it.  ).

Hes wrong, you have to remove the whole lump only to change the discs......you can do the pads by just removing the smaller bolts and popping the sliding carrier off....
