Brake Pads - I think these are wrong help wanted
« on: 17 June 2010, 20:00:04 »

Stupid question I'm afraid. Due to time constraints I havent been able to get to the dealers for my service parts so I ordered some bits from vauxhall car parts (Genuine vauxhall parts apparently).

Most of the stuff is good, but the front brake pads part number should have been 9192124N, what I got was 9192124T - and I cant see any place where the wear sensors would fit. Am I being daft or are these really the wrong pads ?, I assumed the sensor would plug into a hole in the back of the pad, but theres no hole, just a solid backing

Also the manufacturer is truparts, so I cant believe for 1 minute they are genuine VX parts.

Next time I'll make time to go to the dealers !

ETA: That part number is the only part they have for Omega front brakes, I'm beginning to think they are probably for an older model without the sensors. Hmmmm.

If you read the invoice  the letter after the part number denotes the source of the parts.ie vauxhall/cheapy :y
