I didnt see this as a for sale thread, it was more of a thread from Tunnie to himself that he was sadly having to think about letting it go.....

Yes,  maybe the link made it a for sale thread, but as Del says, the forum rules say no links to Ebay ads, does not mention Autotrader

The usual suspects involved in the argument, Skruntie, despite what you tell yourself you aint Admin buddy so leave it to the team to sort out and keep your beak out

Di, I love you, you know that........ :-* :-* :-* :-*

There's a button top right which says alert moderator for those not happy, press it instead of moaning.

nice bike Tunnie, best of luck with it and Japan.....why, and where, in Japan by the way?

Thought it was general chat chris, Tunnie posted, Andy commented,so did I, Tunnie removed the link so what was the problem, a lot of people then jump in and the thread escalates.

Its been in the pipeline for years, got a couple of mates i went to school with, known one of them since i was 11! We do lots of holidays, toured all over the states when i got cheapo business class tickets anywere in the states for a couple of years.

We planned to do Tokyo then going via US (as actually worked out cheaper with my 95% discount on flights) But for various reasons never linked it together, last year was plan but one of us could not get leave from work.

This year we all booked 2 weeks off in January, flat purchase was not planned then.

As for where, Tokyo for a week, then take the bullet train south for a week and try and see some of the real Japan. Not actually booked anything yet though!  :'(

Would be a fascinating trip, but as in the top gear trip, the thought of travelling a strange country with illegible letters/alphabet fills me with dread. How the he'll to find your way etc?

Thats one of the reasons for going, who knows what will happen, find places we never intended. Never really planned with any of my trips exactly what to do each day, just go with the flow.

In New York, we got a bit lost in rush hour, and massives of people all walking in one direction, we just joined in. Turned out we walked onto the Staten Island Ferry (had no idea at the time were this boat went!) Had a random explore around St George then headed back. I like it when random things like that happen  :)

Also looking forward to popping down to the docks in Tokyo, in the early hours of the morning and trying some very fresh Sushi!

That's where I'm going wrong then, I'd want to tie it in with some event or other like the Suzuka 8hour or wsb at sugo perhaps. Need to take the student approach and see where I end up ;). But then you've always got to get back again, even if it's just to the air port and a plane home....? Easy to make airplane gesture for directions I suppose. Or get a sat nav?

Or even a jap nav  ;D, ..........coat?

Seen few blogs of Japan where people take pictures/photos on their phone of things like Toilet, food, water, trains ect, and just show people, which is a nice idea. Clearly show what you need / want to people.

Things like Airport, i will research, work out busses / trains to and from, where to get the train from to get back, as they are important.

When i went to Chicago, i had no idea about their Millenium Project, which is a stadium and park, we just stumbled across it by asking ourself, whats down that road? Then whats up there?

Yup! Inside its interesting goes up much further than you think. Behind the shot is the stadium, its all built on old railway sidings. Much better than our tent  :D

Police were funny, they were patrolling on pimped out Segways with huge tyres. I would have taken photos, but they had guns  :-[

Someone was braver than me though:

Thread pruned to remove childish behaviour between a couple of members.

This is not a sales thread as I read it now.

This is due, I feel, to members being adult enough to offer well intentioned advice and for others to act  upon it with the application of hindsight.

Matter closed.   :y
