C5 troubles
« on: 24 October 2010, 13:30:50 »

Just had the tow truck pick my aunts Citreon C5 from outside my house, engine management problem, only firing on 2.
Only 4 years old,low mileage, fully serviced by main dealer. Very common fault according to tow man.
Not the first time to fail on this car, she's losing faith in it ,time to change I think.

Go kick the dealer, out of warranty but considering the low mileage and lack of use they should sort IMO.

Get it fixed then sell the bugger, it's French!

C5 ECU's were on of their main problems but mainly on the pre facelift ones. very unlucky at that age. when only just out the warranty Citroen UK would often give a contribution towards the cost of repair or replacement so could try that? :y

Looks as if its number 2 injector,My aunt phoned the dealer to find out the cost,£655!!!!!.after she tells me I start checking the cost of the part which is £37+ vat,So  I tell her to check the price again at the dealers, this time its £198.
Isn't that really funny, she was ready to pay the first price,is it because she's a female who knows nothing about cars.
