A few weeks  back my wife was driving the Omega when some idiots put the drivers door window through as she was passing.  Luckily she was unhurt, just a bit shaken.

Autoglass come and and change the window (after first bringing the wrong side  ).

I don't drive the car much and anything coming out of the sterreo is usually drowned out by wife and kids, but noticed at the weekend that the balance was out on the radio.  I fiddled with the controls only to find no sound from the drivers door.  Pop off the speaker grille - no bloody speaker!

Obviously its their word against mine but I'm certain it was there before they did the work.  Also the door in now rattly (suspect airbag unit has not been fixed back properly) with half the trim screws missing.

They're coming out at the weekend to 'assess' the work following my complaint, but if they think I'm letting them near my car again then they are sadly mistaken...

I had a very similar problem. came to replace my drivers side window. when they left the window didnt go all the way up to the seal and the central locking all of a sudden stopped working on the drivers side due to poor fitting and bending the rod that the lock pops up on. after loads of calls they came out and sorted it. even then i didnt want him anywhere near the mig.

There is no way on earth any halfwit from that shambles of a company will ever get close to any car I own ever again, not after the job they did on my old motor.  From the ignorant gobby prat in the call centre to the fat gimp that finally arrived to wreak havoc and have the cheek to make condescending remarks about my car after making a complete mess of the screen trim, which I sorted in less than a minute in front of him, I was thoroughly brassed off with that zoo-full of chimps.

I'd sooner visit Kwik-Fit than dial their number ever again, I dislike them that much.

Part of me can't be bothered with the hassle of getting them to sort it.  I may well be out when they turn up at the weekend.... 

Anyone got a spare door speaker knocking about??

be careful what size you get 2ohm or 4 ohm I believe depending whether Bose or not.

That reminds me. Must get that chip in my windscreen repaired before it gets too frosty... In the apparent absence of anyone who can replace it without removing trim armed only with a crowbar...

Oh, and meant to say that I have a couple of non-Bose facelift speakers somewhere if you want me to put one in the post?

Quite a few years ago,I took my then 6
 month old Ford Sapphire GLS into the supplying dealer for fixing of the usual faults that had to be sorted,that all done head home a happy chappie.

Some weeks later, Flat tyre! get the spare out! bald as a badger,even the wrong size for the car.Theres only one place where it could have been swopped and that was at the main dealers,a few sharp words and a brand new wheel and tyre was fitted.
Lesson learned don't trust anyone,Check work done.
