About one week after the introduction of privetly  operated speed camera vans one has already been set alight at a cost of €70,000  ;D ;D Cant see these lasting!!!

They haven't stirred from slumber over at the Irish Times so far P - so the link isn't working.

In its absence I will say that if such a potentially fruitful means of generating income is passed into private hands, can you blame the people?

there will be lives saved for sure.

particularly if they get rid of them, namely the drivers of such vans! :D

i would like to visit ireland at some point.

the last excursion years ago to see the brother in law during the marching season in lurgan, with a gb plated car scared the crap out of me.

along with the gun totting checkpoints, tyre bonefires midday.

they certainly do things differently over there.
