Tomorrow i may be swaping my motor for a 2.8td misubishi Challanger it will probably only be for the winter then i might get another mig. Just fancied a change and i quite like the idea of doing a 4x4ing plus enough space for the push chair. Ive got a few bits that will be on here shortly if i do the swap. But i must admit this forum has been brilliant every problem i have had its been sorted on here so thanks guys and girls.

I second that Pete. Just one question that has always bothered me about 4x4's. Very aware of their ability to keep going in the rough, but when you are smugly whizzing by everyone, do they actually stop any better than an ordinary motor ? Was just wondering...  :-/

yes    weve just sold my wifes suzuki grand vitara 2.5 v6 and it was excellent all round and stopped well even in the snow  i assume partly due to massive tyres and deep tread

I second that Pete. Just one question that has always bothered me about 4x4's. Very aware of their ability to keep going in the rough, but when you are smugly whizzing by everyone, do they actually stop any better than an ordinary motor ? Was just wondering...  :-/

No, or not when there is Ice under the snow like this morning, great in simple snow and mud etc, don't get over confident or the car drivers may drive past your ditched 4x4 with a smug grin on their faces

Looks like i made the right choice lol. But  i must admit the motor is a brilliant example the guy was a really nice fella and has looked after it really well. Im am chuffed to bits with it. And with cheaper insurance and road tax and not to bad on diesel i think ive mad the right choice.

+1 to that,my jeep was epic at going anywhere but 2 ton weight on ice can be interesting on steep downhills
