NOT...trying to sort my insurance renewal out, tesco have changed underwriters and my renewal was £725 i paid £450 last year and after arguing with them the first offer was for £618..now they had ny car down last year as a bighorn and this year as a trooper commercial,so after more phone calls to sort my clubcard out igot it down to £526 which i accepted but i wasnt accepting the wording on the policy(to give them a get out clause if i had an accident)so on the phone again today and what a helpfull woman i got she read all the notes on my file and spoke to the underwriters about my car being the bighorn and rang me back one hour later saying it was all sorted and my new premium was £326 :odid i accept...too right and i told her she had made my day.just goes to show if you tell them whos boss and persevere you get the result :y

"I'd like to renew my insurance please."
"Certainly sir, what on?"
"My Bighorn."

Are the "grey" imports still more expensive to insure? If i'm right the Bighorn is the UK spec & the Pajero is the import model? Some years ago i bought an early MX5. It was a 6k car back then but an imported Eunos Roadster & i could only insure it with Admiral or another company whose name eludes me. This was about 12/13 years ago & given the cars age & value had to be fully comp & was £535
I'm sure insurance companies have caught up by now what with the huge range of Jap imports & the same 6k car can be bought now for £1500. Glad you got a result mate, Guy. :y
