Finished early for Christmas
« on: 22 December 2010, 14:20:04 »

.... was due to finish on Christmas Eve .... but was walking the little one home from nursery yesterday when he asked to be picked up as he wasn't feeling well.  Picked him up and he snuggled into my neck ... few minutes later and we are both covered in a "technicolour terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired"!!!!  Staning on the path. literally dripping with vomit  :'(

Anyway, home we limp and have to peel off in the bathroom. Within an hour laddie is wheezing away and finding it hard to get much breath in.  Doctors surgery is just down the road, but they were just closed. Quick phone call and the doctor agreed to wait for us there.

After an exam doc decides he's got bronchiolitis, so we get a script for steroids and antiB's and half an hour hooked to the surgery's nebulizer.

Wife's work won't allow time off to look after sick children (b*st*rds), so I have booked a couple of days leave, so Christmas break has come early.  Laddie seems in good spirits but still finding it hard to breath ---- won't rest though !!!!

Yes, I hope things improve for him soon K. :y

I'm glad to learn that the doctor stayed on to offer help.

Thank you Millwall and Zulu  :y

Yes, I was surprised the doc stayed on, in this day and age --- grateful though!

I wish the little one a speedy recovery.

I can see myself sloping off for the festive season fairly shortly. Finished all outstanding work and nothing worth starting now.
