Two weeks ago I installed an LG TV and a Humax Foxsat HDR box having been so satisfied with my Humax 9200-T Freeview box.( which I kept - fortunately).
How dreadful is the Foxsat remote operation compared to my dear old 9200. It is completely non-intuitive - unlike the Freeview remote. While, I admit, I am still trying to navigate around the buttons, I could operate the 9200 remote within, it seemed, seconds of connecting up. My biggest complaint is the poor access to a useful EPG, and I have still been unable to find a quick way of accessing an EPG for any favourite lists. Every operation seems to require about 3 or 4 buttons to be pressed to access the required menu, instead of one for say 'favourites EPG' as on the old 9200 remote. Certainly my wife is unlikely to master it.
Fortunately I have still got my old 9200 connected, and, if I don't need to watch HD, I use the old freeview box and remote as before. The picture is not quite as good, and has only a Scart connection, but this is far outweighed by the ease of operation.
Shame on you Humax for taking a step backwards.
Can anyone comment on other makes of freesat box in comparison, as I am very disapponted with the operation of this one, and will be looking for one with a simpler remote operation.
