Foal dragged to death in Chertsey.
« on: 27 January 2011, 18:04:19 »

I believe that cruelty to animals is a precursor to acts of human cruelty.........People should be utterly shocked at this; but, I bet they wont be!
How morally de-based certain parts of our 'society'  have become. :o

I read about that earlier along with this case. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1351069/Teenager-hurled-kitten-death-11th-floor-window-spared-jail.html

Something needs to be done to stamp out animal cruelty. Even when they get to court the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

Society is like a pyramid. The normal distribution is everything below the tip. i.e. most people. For any given activity, proclavity and so on those few folk at the top of that pyramid carry it to extremes. If there is no society check e.g. the Nazis in wartime the visible peak is much greater and can actually become the norm.

If there weren't prosecutions for cruelty to animals then it would be much more prevalent. The saddest thing for me is that for every case like this that hits the headlines there are many others where it goes unnoticed.

The sickening braindead mentality of those responsible for this & indeed all acts of vile cruelty is far too prevalent in Society & will only continue to grow unchecked and in the main unchallenged until the Lunatics are no longer running the Asylum , but don't hold your breath waiting for Justice or Common Sense to prevail! >:( :(

I've seen telly programmes on the training RSPCA officers have to go through to qualify. I reckon i could study & pass but know afterwards i'd fall at the first hurdle. The minute i had to call at the home of an abusive owner & saw said evidence...let's just say my self control would go out the window...red mist. I know it's not the answer but i can't help it.
The foal story is abhorrent, i don't understand the mindset of such individuals but once again i'd happily do the same to them. See how how brave they are then.
Lastly yes all animal cruelty is unforgivable but what get's me most is cruelty to dogs. A:- because they are my favourite animal & B:- because no matter how awful the abusive owner is to them, the dog still loves them & wants to be loved back, even while it's cowering, hungry, neglected & waiting for another beating from some bullying cowardly meathead. Put's a lump in my throat. >:(

All animal cruelty is abhorrent and that includes the ripping apart of defenceless animals by packs of dogs specifically trained for the task which I believe the present govt. want bringing back or at least DC is in favour of it  >:(

I can understand where you are coming from, but on the issue of foxes you are treading on the age old issue of natural, country, control.  I could be very wrong, but in my book that is totally different to domestic pets.

Foxes, and other wild animals, are pests in the eyes of many farmers, but pets in the human domain are generally not by a long way! ;)
