I use Costco shelving in the garage - not the big stuff like Kevin Wood, but the £45 ones. They do take some weight - I also use them as a step ladder to get in the roof of the garage ;D

Kevin Woods are much bigger, but about 4 times the cost I believe...

If you're thinking of woodern shelves in your garage Daz, maybe an idea to get a few cans of wood preservative to make sure the wood doesn't rot earlier than you want.  Especially if you're going to put large heavy items on the shelves  :o

Glad you've got sorted :y

You see, what a helpful bunch were on here for you  :P  ;D  :y

Yes, I saw, but I don't like having sore knees as repayment  ::)

'I am after'   :-? :-/

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?virboard=GenChat;num=1209458172
'Keep titles relevant, and not just 'Help me' etc.'

????

How is that not relevant if I am after something??

True, but it's rather vague.  Members have to read the post to find out whether they can assist etc.
'I am after', 'Help needed', 'Anyone got',  'O.M.G', 'Unbelievable', 'Will this fit', 'Excellent', 'Can anyone' etc. etc.  :-/

I do hope you get what you're after tho' !  :y

If i was after help with my car i would have posted in the Help Area. As it happens i don't but needed something more General, with it being nothing to do with cars I posted in the Disscussion Area where anything can be asked to an extent. I will PM you next time with my questions then you can point me perhaps in the right direction.  :-/

Thanks I am sure I will get what I need   :y

:y Yep, pretty much anything goes in 'General Discussion' and that's exactly where this kind of topic should be. That is not the issue.  As the Forum Guidelines advise...give some kind of clue as to what the topic is about.

I am after racking,  I need racking,  Looking for racking,  Suggestions on racking.
(Although it sounds like it should now read 'I WAS after racking'  :y)

I bought a load of racks from fleabay. It was from a Vx dealership closing down. A whole load of racks for £50, pretty substantial ones at that. Trouble was I had to dismantle them on site, and carry out through the building to the van. And there were no lights  :-X

Beware some business sellers sell "bays " of racks. They assume that you are going to join them together so you don't get 4 uprights per bay. And one clown is selling "heavy duty" racks. They are absolutely c**p, the locations are pressed out of the uprights, and a slight sideways push ruins the metal tongues and they collapse.

Nope. Mine was no more than £50 or so. Might have been a special though.

I did get another type that had solid wooden shelves and kinda charcoal coloured angle metal supports with screwless assembly. Again, pretty substantial.

Depends what the pink one wants to store, really. Engines, gearboxes, etc. or cam belt kits, air filters and oil cans? :-/

.. and this reminds me. I must have a poke around the Peugeot dealer that's closed just up the road from me (I wonder if there's a 2 post lift going begging?) ::).

You'll struggle to hide that in your jacket on the way out, though..
