Managed to access all info, copied what I needed onto new PC HDD. I`ve formatted the external drive and it`s now showing as empty. Question: If I want to save anything to the external drive could somebody explain the procedure please. :)

It will have it's own drive letter -- something like E or F. when you click "save" on anything yoiu just navigate to that drive ( as you do with folders) and save there.
