« on: 29 March 2011, 20:16:29 »

a comedian without even trying,a yorkshireman,a perfectionist,a gentleman,a husband,a father but best of all my grandad, rip ole bean.a king amongst men.

this last week and half has been a struggle, ive not slept much and when i have ive had some really weird dreams and i now feel really drained but my mother is 500 fold how i feel she was really close to him and i wish i could magic this to never happen but such is life and hopefully now after the funeral things can start to heal and get back to some sort of reality and normalitythis is just somat i wanted to get of my chest and so why ive written it.

Sympathies bud. Sadly there's no avoiding the inevitable, it comes to the best of us.

Sounds like your Grandad made a good innings & lead a happy content life with his loving family around him.

Now is the time for the rest of you to be there for eachother. Guy.

You have great memories Daz, consider yourself fortunate and hold on to them.

I lost my Sister a year ago last Saturday.
I understand your gut renching pain and total sense of loss and bewilderment .
Like you I swung between anger at the world moving on without her and the terrible acute feeling of hopelessness of her never being " there " again.
It's hard ,very hard , but each day that has passed since has slowly removed the raw pain . It still hurts and in my own moments I still allow it to, but I find that all the memories I have of her are a treasure chest that I open and enjoy at every opportunity .
I desperatly wish I could take away your pain , but I cant but I can tell you it will pass and you will laugh and smile again when you think of him , you will NEVER forget him.
Good luck .
Don

Herc, I unerstand the pain and hurt you are feeling  right now,  but  it will ease and the good times  you both shared are saved in the memory bank.

You will be carrying on with your daily routine  and something will trigger a specail memory  that you both shared, that will make you chuckle to yourself and remind you of how speacail he was to you.
