Although you seem to be a nice man by private message you come over a little stupid I'm afraid Steve.
How on earth is it funny being next to gunfire of any sort even the pea shooters your refering too?

That was a lie. I'm a disgusting, horrible person. Ask Albs. ;D
I can confirm that. In face he is very much understating the case. ;)

I must agree with STMO I found it hilarious ;D ;D ;D.
The oppositon tribes advance, in their makeshift trucks when our planes have cleared a path. The only thing they pop off at is the sky when they see a reporter. They spot a tank in the distance,  about face, and run like break. Not susprisingly it was an Italian colony. ;) ;D ;D ;D :y
You have to see the funny side sometimes ;D :y

Does anyone else find it really humourous when we get a live update from a reporter standing by the side of a dusty road in Libya. He is telling us how the rebels are advancing at great speed, and behind him we can see a rag-bag of soldiers, riding on their pick-up trucks and firing their pea shooters into the air.

Fast forward 15 mins: Same reporter at the side of the same road telling us that the rebels have run into stiff opposition (a tank) and, behind him, the very same trucks racing in the opposite direction, still firing their pea-shooters in the air.

It reminds me of wacky races ;D ;D

Spot on. ;D ;D ;D  The irony and humour of it all wasn't lost on us either. saw another clip recently of troops retreating and the female reporter was in the back of a vehicle still doing the commentary despite non rebel gunfire. Out of the windows you could see the wacky racers hammering along with the pea shooters firing wildly in the air at nothing in particular..

For more serious irony you could ponder that the coalition are seriously thinking of arming these "wacky racers" that haven't even got leadership (apparently). We just don't learn. Didn't we fund and arm the rebels (that turned into Al Qaeda) in Afghanistan so they could oust the bad guys who were in turn put there by the Americans in the first place? Maybe as we speak they are secretly leaving weapons lying around in wooden cases marked " bulldozer parts  Korea"
