Youve got to love the way the BBC try & make these "huhne sticks" sound efficient by making the ludicrous claim "were stopped because the grid network could not absorb all the energy they generated". that is the biggest load of B/S ive heard in ages. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Indeed, Alf, how the BBC do spin things.  ::) ::)

Truth is here:

“On the night of April 5 and 6, the demand for power was low but the nuclear generation plants in Scotland were running as expected. There was also heavy rainfall, which meant hydro power plants were operating well, too,” a spokesman said.

i.e. on the odd occasion these Huhne sticks (I like it  :y) produce something, it's not needed..or as the BBC would spin it "We canna take any more from the fanatstic windmills, Jim, we could explode at any moment!"  ;) ;D ;D

I'm all for developing various technologies to help address the coming energy crisis but this madness really takes the pish.

What a bloody shambles - still it's easier to try to solve problems ( ;D ;D ;D) everywhere else but within these shores. :y
