What do you mean 'swing out of the way'? I've got a factory fit detachable towbar on the mv6 with a fixed socket underneath. I thought when I fit electrics to the elite I could just fix a static mounting plate to the towbar, underneath and out of sight

I thought that having a detachable bar with fixed  electrics somewhat defeated the object. Amigo MV6 MX5 had a Bosal factory (?) towbar & electrics on the back of his car and the electrics pivoted upwards of sight. After phoning & speaking to various local towbar fitters & being fobbed off, I phoned Bosal at Preston who said, yes we have a pivoting plate. I called there & he gave it to me foc  :y :y :y. It's not as fancy as that on the back of Guy's car, but it does the job. ;) ;)

I'll try to photo it for you tomorrow when it's light.  :y :y

Thanks Andy B.

On the MV6 it's fixed but out os sight and points downwards to the ground
