While some of us agree to disagree on the merits of Button, Schumi etc., no one has mentioned the driver that's really outstanding at the moment - current world champion Vettel. He may have been a little raw at first and I know he now has the best car on the grid, but he's now driving like a real master (remind you of anyone? ::)). Love or hate him, the guy has genuine talent and desire. :y
Indeed, he continuously outshines Webber, very talented driver. Spoilt brat, but talented ;D

I agree with Banjax (better go and lie down in a darkened room !!) hes fine while he has an advantage and is out in front away from everyone else, but put him under pressure and he cracks like a newly laid egg. He s a long way from the finished article imo.
Hamilton has been having talks with Red Bull recently. It would be interesting to see how the two compare in the same car. ;)

just watched the highlights - i still dont believe Button won....and i sat through the whole thing Sunday, he was last place on the wrong tyres on lap 41........its actually better than you think as every car he passed he was on a wet track off the racing line on slicks :o :o

His pass of Webber took him onto the very wet side of start/finish straight complete with plumes of spray, god knows how he kept it straight :o

He also had to use opposite lock at very high speed when he had his brush with Hamilton.  That was a very good catch in my view.

Come on Albs, what have you been watching for the last 2 years??? ::) Vettel may have had his share of racing accidents but rarely cracks under pressure from behind. The Canadian GP is the first time for a long time that's happened. There have been a number of GP's where he has been pushed while leading the race and has driven faultlessly. Don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly a Vettel fan but I do appreciate his skill in an F1 car.

nah, I'm with Albs on this - witness his near meltdown when Webber was challenging him strongly last season - couldn't handle being passed and behaved, on numerous occasions like a spoilt kid making rash lunges and dangerous blocks....he has matured since winning the WDC but hes still prone to getting panicked into mistakes - usually hes so far ahead it doesnt matter tho  ;)

Sure, he's cracked when he's not been leading and he's had to fight through the field, but rarely when he's out in front leading the grand prix. Stone me, I've seen many top drivers cock up in similar situations. As I said, I'm not a Vettel fan but I do think he's a fantastic driver and maturing very nicely for someone so young.
