best midge repellant I found is Avon Skin So Soft. I am a midge magnet and come out in big lumps when bitten and this stuff works! Tested extensively on Loch Lomonds finest lol!

Vamps, I have had a quick Google & apparently a surefire midge repellant is to tie one miscreant among you to a pole & smear his nether regions in peanut butter :D However, it must be applied in a clockwise circular motion or the midges will ignore it, it's something to do with the way they navigate as their wing muscles have left handed hemispherical joints ::) Honest!  ;D;)

Also tested by Her Majesty's Royal Marines  8-)extensively on the west coast of Scotland during many summers mountain training...... works a treat :y....but still have no idea of the active ingredient ::)
