SWMBO bought me a track day sort of thing in an Aston Martin...  abso-bloody-lutely brilliant... only 4 laps butamazing ... as the instructor said .... the better you drive it the shorter the time .. which was the only downside...

When else would I get the chance to drive a 2010 AM Vantage ... with me right foot buried in the very plush carpets..  ? .. :)

She organised the whole event through "6th Gear Experience"

http://www.6thgearexperience.com

who use several locations .. I went to "Prodrive" in Kenilworth

There are several other companies who do similar packages ... I got SWTSMBO a TVR day at Bruntingthorpe through Drivers Dream Days

A colleague was given a 'Ferrari experience' for his birthday. He was rather disappointed overall. A few tuition laps, then he got to drive for a few laps and then it was all over. An hour and a half at most, and a fair bit of that was talk and instruction.
Obviously this is just one example, so maybe (hopefully) others are better.
