The penny dropped........
« on: 03 June 2007, 20:27:54 »

And it certainly did. Vacuumed the mig today and as always i move the seats right back to do the front and right forward to do the rear ect ect.........anyway, whilst moving the drivers seat forward it became jammed.......oh f@@k! i thought. On investigating i found a penny had fallen down the side and jammed between the left runner and the seatbelt anchor. Did a good impersonation of a milling machine and removed a good few thou' from the runner in the shape of a continuous swarf........took me an hour to remove it and i de-burred the runner and polished up with emery.......all i could do. It works fine so i think i was lucky. Beware people, make sure there isnt no stray coinage down the sides of the seats before moving them....

on my last meega, the passenger seat (electric) wouldn't go back fully. Eventually found a rather mangled £1 coin stuck in the runners to be the problem ... took a while to get it out though!!
