Riot insurance
« on: 09 August 2011, 17:27:26 »

Hello peeps.

Does anyone know for sure whether or not policy holders (vehicle/domestic/commercial etc) are covered for riots? This doesn't affect me (hasn't spread to Sunderland so far!), but I heard that insurance companies don't cover for riot like they don't for terrorism, war etc. It'll be a bit crap for all the poor peeps with their homes and shops wrecked if they don't.

Is the CCB fund big enough to cover the costs?

I always understood that insurance policies contain a clause stating that no payout would be made in the case of civil disobedience. :-/
