Gotta love a good roadtrip!!!

Actually, I don't think the paperwork would be too bad. For the Landy you'd get a Carnet de Passage from the RAC, which is basically a temporary import permit, and in practice works abit like a passport in that it would get entry and exit stamps for each country. You'd only need it for Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka.
Assuming the drivers are British passport holders, you'd need visas for Iran, Pakistan and India. India would be easy, Iran and Pakistan might be tricky but do-able I'm sure!

So in theory, it's easy!

In practice some of the border crossings would be a PITA. A friend of mine spent 48 hours at the Greece/Turkey border a few years ago. Ate something dodgy and only had a few squares of loo roll with him...

The Pakistan/India border must be a nightmare! :-/
You'd also need a trailer full of spare parts to get there in Landy!!
