fuel light on pre facelift comes on with approx 5 litres fuel in tank fuel light flashes when fuel drops to 2 litres according to the manual. However the brain of the unit bases its thoughts on how the car has been driven over the previous 50 miles,so if you are light footed you would go further.
Has anyone noticed that when you fill up your tank if you watch the range left if you are on a steady cruise it will go up if it states you have 186 miles left and you go 50 miles on cruise control you could have 213 mile range left however if you floor it and use the power it drops sharply

That's about what I would have said......... :D :D :D  Certainly is on my Citroen, Mig does not have a computer so no range..... ::) ::)

Mine comes on at between 30 & 28 miles (several times a week!) as my missus only lets me put in £10 worth at a time ;D :-[    She reckons any more only adds to the overall weight & increases consumption (she's not as green as she is cabbage looking, my wife, but oooooOO is she thrifty) LOL .  ;) :D ;D :y

running a car low on fuel can have an adverse effect on you wallet as it can cause blocking of fuel filters due to the sludge in the tank sloshing about as you drive.this it very true of cars older than 5 years as the crossion inside the tank gets worse over time imho

My light comes on when the range is showing around 50 miles which would suggest around 2 gallons. :-/
when I left to drive the 2 miles to the nearest garage the other day the range display was on 0 miles, got there though. ;D
