Which model Discovery is it?

When you say heater do you mean Blower Fan?

Do the hazzards still work when operating the button or locking the car via alarm (remote fob)

Also is it a 200 or 300 Tdi or the TD5 or Disco 3?

I can prob help with this due to here is mine (BLACK ONE) ;-)
Spend many hours repairing and lying underneith.

if its an older model, check the fusible links which run between the fuse boxes as they have given weird electrical problems on both Disco's i have had(in a sheath, running along the drivers side inner wing/strut top)
