Got the Mig through the MOT tonight (8.10pm on a Saturday!?). Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the help, advice and encouragement in relation to my handbrake issue. It was a seized cable on the passenger side after all (sjc
) but that's now sorted, and I fixed it myself - with your help of course
- and there's always a little pride to be had in that.
I have to confess tho that over the past wee while I have almost neglected the finer points of the car, particularly as I now have no garage, and it was sat on my drive for three months without tax or MOT as I couldn't afford to sort it out. Needs an oil change, the breather system cleaned out and the source of a coolant leak found. I did replace the hbv a few years ago after a major water loss, but I guess it could have gone again. I did manage to clear out the scuttle drain behind the pollen filter (what a bu@@er to get at - had to use a stick and the vac!) so I'm getting there.
Anyway, thanks again and here's to another MOT success 8-)
