Chassis numbers...
« on: 03 May 2010, 20:36:50 »

I'm trying to figure out roughly what chassis numbers each derivative changed on, I.E chassis number at change from pre to mini facelift and mini to facelift.

I ask because one of the parts books I have (and probably one of the most detailed I've seen) works on chassis numbers and not year of manufacture.

So if anyone has one on the cusp of any of the changeovers I'd love a rough idea of the chassis number range, not all of your chassis number but a general idea, something like "just over 10567800"

TIA folks :y

THen they changed the letter of year make y=2000 to an number. 1=2001 so a 2001 chassis no would be 11000001+,2002 21000001+ :y

I'd forgotten about the prefix letter, was the whole range of 94 -99/00 X or did it change with the 98 upgrade do you know?

Ah.... so Y1million is 2000, 10million is 2001, 20million 2002 etc.

Excellent, that makes a lot of sense now looking at these lists :y

r-v = prefacelift
w-x = minifacelift
y-3 = facelift
