2 x 2.5v6 - best multi car insurance option?
« on: 10 May 2010, 20:44:30 »

Hi guys

Thinking of putting this new Elite I got on the road rather than breaking it, its too good for that upon closer inspection. The missus could do with a car too so it makes sense, and she likes the migs. Its MOTd and I have Direct Line Insurance on the Reflection (had the same policy running for years)...If I renew my DL insurance and add another car, are they gonna screw me? Anyone have 2 v6's on a multi car policy?

Things to bear in mind:

- Poor credit history
- Self Employed
- 2 named drivers
- 4 years no claims
- Both cars unmodified

Need to price this up quick smart :-)

Dont see what credit history has to do with insurance unless you are after monthly payments.

Am with Admiral Mulricar, will find and add the link in a while.

This is my renewal.

They work on heavily discounting the 2nd car.

Monthly payments cost an extra 8% PA on thier own.

Get them to swap the cars during getting a quote it could work out cheaper.

Admiral Multicar for me too, both cars are V6's, the miggy is 3.0, and the MG is 2.5.
Price for both together saved me a tad over £100 this time.

Dunno how old you are, and licence history, etc but I pay under £400 fully comp both cars with business use!!

Found out something interesting last night, was chatting to my brother (32 years old) he has put his live in girl friend on as an additional driver, and his insurance went down, she added him to herown policy and hers went down also.
