Trip down memory lane...
« on: 27 May 2010, 16:38:52 »

This may trigger the memories of a few people who've been a fan of Vauxhall barges for a long time!

The only thing letting it down is a lack of a 2.6 badge, and it was a slushbox, which would make it painfully slow.

If that's around 1992 or 1993 I prefer to forget about what I was doing - if that's OK :-X

"L" would be on a 93 or a 94 plate.

There are quite a few oldish Vauxhalls that amazingly live on around here. On my way out a neighbour had his absolutely pristine K reg white Cavalier SRi with the genuine red stripe out in the street.

These old Vauxhalls take a bit of looking after now!

My parents have had large Vauxhalls since forever. My dad's car history went...

"G" Senator 3.0 12v - > "K" Senator 3.0 24v -> "R" Omega 2.5V6 CD estate (utter shed) -> "V" Omega 3.0 Elite (what you see in my avatar and my own car for 6 months) -> Signum 3.0 CDTi.

In between that he was also driving The Behemoth, which was my mum's Carlton 3.0CDX estate.

No salt in the air there to eat the metalwork.
